CALIFORNIA CHILDREN'S SERVICES (CCS)

What is CCS?

CCS is a State-wide program that provides treatment and rehabilitation services to children under the age of 21 who have handicapping medical conditions. Financial assistance and case management services are provided to help the child gain maximum physical, mental, social and educational potential. The parents' financial status determines whether or not the child is eligible.

What services are provided under CCS?

CCS provides:

  • Medical care and diagnostic testing needed to make a diagnosis of a suspected condition.
  • Treatment services, including physician services, medicines, hospital and surgical care, physical and occupational therapy, laboratory tests, x-rays, appliances and other rehabilitative service.
