Tulare County HHSA assists our residents in obtaining the benefits they need - from feeding a family, to making sure medical care is available, to helping our clients find work and become self-sufficient.

The TulareWORKs program is designed to help residents who qualify for CalWORKs to prepare for work and find a job, allowing them to support themselves and their families. To accommodate the health needs of our community, we assist residents in gaining access to Medi-Cal, TCMS (Tulare County Medical Services Program) and/or SSI assistance for the elderly.

To help meet other needs of our Tulare County families, we offer General Assistance and the Food Stamp Program, which provides resources that help low income households buy the food needed for good health. In addition, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program helps pregnant women, mothers and young children eat well and stay healthy. To make sure the children of Tulare County stay healthy, we offer programs such as CHDP, a preventive health program, and CCS, for children who have certain diseases, physical limitations or chronic health problems.
