SMALLPOX

What should I do if there is a smallpox outbreak?

The thought of a smallpox outbreak (pdf) is scary, but HHSA public health officials are preparing to respond quickly and effectively to such an event. You can prepare too, by being informed. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has prepared fact sheets with basic information (pdf) and FAQs (pdf) about smallpox. If there is a smallpox emergency, the CDC, your local media and HHSA will provide more details and information on what you can do.
