What does the Hazardous Waste Generator Program do?

The Hazardous Waste Generator Program covers businesses that generate any quantity of hazardous waste. The CUPA conducts periodic inspections of businesses generating hazardous waste to determine compliance with State laws. The statues (Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.5) and regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5) governing the Hazardous Waste Generator Program may be downloaded from www.leginfo.ca.gov and www.calregs.com, respectively.
