What is Local Fuel Spill Oversight?

The Local Oversight Program (LOP) provides oversight of corrective action at leaking underground fuel tank (LUFT) sites throughout Tulare County, under contract with and under the delegated authority of the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). The statues (Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.75) and regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 18) governing the LOP may be downloaded from www.leginfo.ca.gov and www.calregs.com, respectively.
