COMPREHENSIVE PERINATAL SERVICES (CPSP)

How do I give my baby a healthy start?

We want to give every baby a healthy start. That's why we want to make sure your baby receives the best possible care even before birth. You will meet with a doctor and trained health care worker who will explain the CPSP program. At your first visit you will be asked questions about:

  • What you eat.
  • What you know about having a baby.
  • How you feel about being pregnant.

What services can I get through CPSP?

There are many services provided through CPSP. With your doctor, or health care worker, you will decide the best plan of care for a healthy baby. You will learn about how the food you eat feeds both you and your baby. It's important to eat the right kinds of food and the right amounts - we can plan a diet just for you. We'll teach you about labor and birth, and how to take care of your baby. We'll also tell you how to enroll your baby in your health plan after it is born. You can also get help with food, housing, or job needs.
