GREAT EXPECTATIONS PROGRAM (GE)

What does the Great Expectations Program provide?

The Great Expectations Program provides services to expectant and post-partum mothers up until the child is one (1) year old. The mother must already have children enrolled in Head Start. A nurse and Community Health Technician provide case management and monthly home visits according to client risks. Education information is given to clients on encouraging good nutrition, breastfeeding, infant stimulation, bonding, immunizations, safety and infant development. The goal is to help expectant women and their families to become the best parents they can be.
