Whether it's good prenatal care for moms-to-be or mental health assistance, Tulare County Health & Human Services can meet your needs. Our health and mental health services deliver a system of high-quality care.
Our six health care centers located throughout Tulare County provide quality health care to people of all ages. The health care centers have the ability to provide specialty services from major medical centers by using the Telemedicine program. If you are registered at our clinics we also have dental, x-ray, laboratory and pharmacy services available for your convenience. Health programs are also available for HIV and TB testing, childhood and college or travel immunizations, flu shots and the "Every Woman Counts" breast/cervical cancer prevention program.
Mental health services are provided to both children and adults through our mental health clinics and children's mental health service locations. Each year our Mental Health Department works in conjunction with Kern County to produce the Central California Mental Health Housing Conference to better serve our mental health population.
If you have concerns about the cost of health care, staff is available to help you apply for assistance to meet your family's health care needs. HHSA's experienced health care providers are ready to help you with your health concerns. We are also looking for volunteers to work with us in ensuring a high standard of care by serving on the Community Health Center Board, or the Mental Health Subcommittee. Our Reach Out & Read Program offers another opportunity to volunteer by reading to children in our waiting rooms.
All health information is kept confidential as mandated by HIPAA requirements.
