Aging Services

The Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging (KT AAA) provides services to citizens of Kings and Tulare County, primarily seniors aged 60 and older. These services include:

The Senior Nutrition Program: Provides balanced meals, both at senior centers and in a senior’s home, and an atmosphere which promotes socialization

Information and Assistance (I&A): Designed to provide quick referrals and links to the best agency or program to meet a senior’s particular need

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP): Designed to assist seniors with Medicare, health insurance and medical billing concerns and problems

Legal Services: Provides a variety of counseling and legal advice services unique to seniors

The Ombudsman Program: Provides a service to Seniors who are in nursing facilities, to resolve concerns as well as be an advocate for client needs

Caregiver Support: Provides resources to the caregiver to assist in the care of elderly family members, including access to caregiver support groups and adult day care

Senior Employment Services: Provides seniors the opportunity to receive training and assistance to re-enter the job market
