Rescue a Shelter Dog and Get a Loyal Sidekick for All of Life’s Adventures
VISALIA - You can save the day for a homeless dog -- and find a faithful companion who will be at your side for all of life’s adventures -- by adopting a dog from the Tulare County Animal Control Shelter as they celebrate National Adopt-A-Dog-Month with their Shelter Fall Celebration.
The Tulare County Animal Control Shelter is celebrating American Humane’s National Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog-Month by presenting special promotional rates for the month of October 2009, and hosting a special adoption event at Tulare County Animal Control. Adopting a dog is a heroic feat that’s easy to perform, and animal shelters and breed-rescue groups are filled with amazing dogs: large, small, mixed breeds, even purebreds.
“We have so many loving and deserving dogs that are looking to be adopted by good people and families,” said Michelle Shanley, Animal Control Shelter Coordinator. “By adopting a shelter dog you can be a hero by giving a deserving pet their forever home!”
At the Shelter Fall Celebration, and for the month of October, the dog adoption fee is $70. Cats will also feature low adoption rates, at $50. Those low fees include spay/neuter, first vaccinations, dog food, a pet carrier, and each animal will receive a free wellness exam.
