Our Vision
Healthy communities must be guided by values of inclusion, respect, and equality. Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency will honor these values to enhance our services, foster personal and professional development and advance the health of the community.
Our Mission
Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency supports all employees in the journey to work effectively across and among all cultures. We will embed cultural competence in all areas including operations, policies and structures. We will strive to identify and respond to our community's changing cultural dynamics to continuously increase understanding and respect for the value of our differences while highlighting the strength of our commonalities.
In September 2011, Diversity Works created the Diversity Outreach Team (DOT) to enhance communication efforts in all areas of the Health & Human Services Agency. The DOT is supporting Diversity Works by providing tools to all staff members and creating a link between Diversity Works, HHSA staff, and the community we serve.
