Human Services
Tulare County Human Services is the advocate for individuals of all ages. We work to help Tulare County residents from protection for an abused child to allowing those frail in health to remain at home.
TulareWORKs
TulareWORKs provides a range of services that will help improve the way of life for Tulare County residence. These services include:
Food Stamps- The Food Stamp Program provides monthly benefits that help low income households buy the food they need for good health.
SSI Advocacy-assists clients with their Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) applications and/or appeals.
General Assistance-a program that gives cash aid to people who need help, who lawfully live in Tulare County, and who are not supported by other means
CalWORKs-a welfare program that gives cash aid and employment-focused services to eligible needy California families with children.
Medi-Cal-pays for a variety of medical services for children and adults.
Employment Services-program is designed to help you find a job and/or prepare you to search for employment.
TCMS- helps meet the needs of people who cannot pay their medical expenses
In-Home Supportive Services-authorizes services to the aged, blind and disabled in order to help them maintain independent living.
Child Welfare
Tulare County Child Welfare Service exists to ensure the Health, Safety and Well-Being of Tulare County Children and Families. Tulare County CWS provides a variety of services to assist and promote the ultimate goal of maintaining health and safety within family units.
Veteran Services
The Tulare County Veterans Service Office (CVSO) provides a wide range of benefits to our County veterans and their families. The CVSO assists veterans and their families in acquiring their benefits from the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
