Ken Cruickshank: Ken grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and joined the Navy shortly after leaving high school and spent over 27 years in the service. Most of his Navy career was spent at the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, preceded by a tour in Jacksonville, Florida.  He also did two tours forward deployed to Japan.  He has been employed by Tulare County since November 2003, first as the Veterans Services Representative.  In October of 2010 he was selected as the Veterans Service Officer.  Ken is accredited with numerous National and State Organizations including National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, California Department of Veterans Affairs, American Legion, American Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart and The Retired Enlisted Association.

David Florendo: David was born and raised here in Tulare County and enlisted in the Army in 1989 where he served for a little over 23 years. Most of his career was spent in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, with the 82D Airborne Division. His tours also include Pocatello, Idaho as a recruiter, Korea, and five years in Germany. He has served in combat operations while deployed during the Gulf War, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has returned home with his wife Tracy and two daughters; and recently began his employment with Tulare County as a new Veterans Service Representative.

Elke Smith: Started working with the Veterans Service Office in 1997 as an Office Assistant.  She became very familiar with the inner operations of the office and took on the added responsibilities of assisting the veterans community.  She primarily assists widows and dependents with government headstone applications and follow up.  She is the one that handles the processing of the California Fee Waiver Application program.  She is a member of the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, and is accredited with the California Department of Veterans Affairs and American Legion.
