In TulareCounty, after the children have been returned to the family by the Juvenile Court, the family continues to receive services through the Family Maintenance component. During this time, the family is visited by a social worker and service providers on a monthly basis to monitor their progress. The goal is to ensure the safety of the children while supporting and strengthening the family unit. The family’s progress is reported to the Juvenile Court by the social worker after 6 months. Typically, Court-involved Family Maintenance Services are 6-12 months in duration.
