Permanency Placement (PP)

In Tulare County, when a child cannot safely return home to the parents, a permanent plan is needed for the child. A permanent plan for a child could consist of adoption, legal guardianship, or a Planned Permanent Living Arrangement (PPLA). A child in the PPLA status continues to have their situation evaluated for permanency with one of the permanent options sometimes includes the possible future return to the parents if and when the child can be safe in the parents home.
