Refer to the Grants page for more information on the SHSGP funding cycle. The next application period, for the FY12 grant, will be announced in May, 2012. The application window is typically 3-4 weeks.
The FY11 application materials will remain posted throughout the year for reference purposes. While the application changes slightly from year to year, the format and process remains largely the same. Applicants wishing to familiarize themselves with the materials or get a "head start" on preparing an FY12 application process are encouraged to review the following materials.

The Environmental & Historical Preservation (EHP) Screening Memo and EHP Review Process are required for certain equipment items, including any item requiring fixed installation, ground disturbance, or structure modification, all field-based training and exercise activities, all base radio / repeater projects, some HazMat equipment, and others. Depending on the scope and complexity of the project, EHPs may be approved in a matter of days, or may take up to a year to complete.
