Protecting, Improving, and Optimizing
the health and well-being of the people in Tulare County

The Tulare County Department of Public Health protects health, prevents disease, and promotes the health and well-being for all persons in Tulare County. Public Health focuses on the population as a whole, rather than individuals. We strive to work collaboratively with other agencies and providers on public health issues facing our county (see our brochure for a listing of services).

Learn about Public Health

If every one of us commits to promoting good health in our communities, we can create a ripple effect from coast to coast. Through just one neighborhood that makes its public parks accessible,  or one group of people who join together to bring fresh foods to school, no matter how small a change may be,we need your help to become A Healthier America: One Community at a Time.
