Tulare County School Absentee Surveillance

Welcome

As a school-based health professional, you know the importance of obtaining accurate, comprehensive and timely health data and working together to solve problems. The Tulare County Public Health Department is counting on your support for our School Absentee Surveillance System as we work closely with you to safeguard the health of your school and our community.

WebEOC is being used to facilitate quick and easy submission of Absentee reports.  The system is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. As we develop this system, we plan to offer you the ability to generate reports from the data you enter as well.

The following graph for the current season shows the average percent of students absent (green line; left axis) and the number of schools reporting each week (gold line; right axis).

This next graph compares this year's data (red line) with the previous 3 years.  Week 40 corresponds to the first week of October.  Thanksgiving falls either during week 47 or 48 depending on the year.  Week 2 is the second week of January and the data continues through week 16 or 17 which corresponds to the end of April.
