Perinatal Wellness Program
The Perinatal Wellness Program (PWP) is funded by the Mental Health Services Act: Prevention and Early Intervention Plan. The PWP seeks to:
- Increase community knowledge of perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, otherwise known as postpartum depression
- Increase screening for symptoms of perinatal mood & anxiety disorders
- Provide treatment for women who meet program criteria and are experiencing symptoms of perinatal mood & anxiety disorders
Women who meet program eligibility criteria may be enrolled for PWP services which include:
- Nurse home visitation
- Therapeutic services
- Case Management
- Linkage to other community resources
