Prenatal Substance Exposure Program
The Prenatal Substance Exposure Program is focused on any pregnant woman identified as having a baby at risk for alcohol or other drug exposure. Any pregnant women identified with one or more of the following factors is eligible for referral to this program:
- Any positive urine drug screen during prenatal care
- Any history of or client admission of substance use or abuse including prescription drugs and/or alcohol
- Any environmental substance exposure i.e., household members, partner
- History of pre-term labor
- Late entrance to prenatal care > 16 weeks gestation
- Three consecutive failed prenatal care appointments
- Prior maternal history of drug exposed infant
