Our cancer detection program, Every Woman Counts gives low-income women access to screening and diagnostic services for breast and cervical cancer. The goal of the program is to reduce breast and cervical cancer mortality rates in this under-served population of California women. We offer screening and diagnostic services, and provide follow-up services for women with possible diagnoses of breast and/or cervical cancer, including referral for treatment when necessary.
This program is designed to help women who have no health insurance, Medi-Cal or Medicare (or if you have a high share of cost you may still be eligible). Finding and treating cancer early means survival. Many women do not realize that if you are 25 years or older you should have a yearly pap smear, and if you are 40 years or older you need a yearly clinical breast exam and mammogram. The participating clinic locations are located in Visalia AND Farmersville.
