HEALTH EDUCATION

Where can I get information on health education?

The Health Education Program offers a wide variety of culturally sensitive health-related presentations that are available to the residents of Tulare County. The program routinely works with agencies throughout the County, including other County departments, schools, community groups, and committees. Educational presentations include bicycle safety, nutrition and car seat safety. Health Education is also responsible for the coordination of countywide health fairs and is the lead agency for Public Health Week.

Tulare County HHSA, working with other area agencies, organizes the annual Children's Services Conference usually held in the spring. We are also the contact for The Family Challenge social marketing campaign, teaching families how to live healthier and more nutritious lives. If you are interested in participating in the Family Challenge, please contact 559-733-6123.
