TeenSMART/TEEN PREGNANCY

What is TeenSMART?

The TeenSMART Outreach Program provides information, education and outreach to Tulare County teens, 15 to 18 years of age. Our aim is to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy and STDs among adolescents. Teens are given information to help them make informed decisions about their reproductive health, sexual behavior, and birth control, including abstinence education. TeenSMART supplies information regarding access to clinical family planning services. Many teens don't know where to go or how to get information on these services. TeenSMART services for adolescents are free or low cost and confidential.

What services does TeenSMART provide?

  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Annual exams and pap smears
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Education and counseling on abstinence and birth control options for both males and females.

Who can I contact on information about TeenSMART?
