GUARDIANSHIP

What is Guardianship?

The purpose of this program is to provide a more permanent home for dependent children whose parents have been unsuccessful in reunification and when adoption is not appropriate or desired. A guardianship study is conducted by CWS Social Workers, which includes a search for potential guardians and then a study of suitability. Guardianships are conducted in conjunction with the Juvenile Court.
