HIGH RISK INFANT

What is a High Risk Infant?

Sometimes babies are born premature, or have been exposed to drugs and alcohol, or possibly have birth defects. These children are considered "high risk infants" and fall within the 0-3 age group. Some of these babies may not reach the expected growth and developmental goals in the first three years of life - and some may face serious health problems during that time. We work to meet the needs of these children through a variety of agencies.
