LONG-TERM FOSTER CARE

What is Long-Term Foster Care?

The purpose of this program is to provide a permanent home for dependent children whose parents have been unsuccessful in reunification and when adoption or guardianship is not appropriate. Children are matched with caretakers who will care for them to the age of majority (18). These children retain a CWS Social Worker and the Juvenile Court continue to oversee dependency matters.
