MEDICALLY VULNERABLE INFANT PROGRAM (MVIP)

What is the Medically Vulnerable Infant Program (MVIP)?

There are some babies that have special medical needs. These needs can create special challenges. It may mean many trips to the hospital, frequent illnesses and delays in development. These challenges can also create difficulties in parenting.

How can the Medically Vulnerable Infant Program help my baby?

The Medically Vulnerable Infant Program can provide your baby with positive outcomes. A professional nurse will make regular home visits to monitor your baby's progress, provide education, and support for you in the caring of your child's special needs. Services also are available to babies who are more at risk because of medical problems.
