PUBLIC GUARDIAN ADULT PROTECTION UNIT
What if I am unable to provide for myself?
The Public Guardian Adult Protection Unit is designed to act on behalf of adults who are unable to provide entirely for themselves. Functions of the unit include adult protective services and conservatorship. Adult protective services assists dependent adults and/or elderly who are in danger and in need of protective service to prevent physical abuse, neglect or exploitation by others or from self-neglect. Conservatorship assists persons who are substantially unable, for a variety of reasons, to manage for themselves by supervising property and/or personal care needs of adult disabled and infirm aged.
