ADOLESCENT FAMILY LIFE PROGRAM (AFLP)

What is the AFLP program?

AFLP is a program with special emphasis on services for pregnant teens, teen parents and their families. Anyone under 19, who is pregnant or has children (teen fathers included), and who is a resident of Tulare County, is eligible for the AFLP program. All services are free to all participants, regardless of income.

What services does AFLP provide?

AFLP can help a teen parent:

  • obtain medical care
  • find financial assistance, housing and transportation
  • stay in school
  • get job counseling and job training
  • have a healthy baby
  • learn how to take care of a baby
  • be a good parent
