What is Central Valley Regional Center's role in helping my child?

Early intervention involves the prompt identification of risk factors which may result in a developmental disability and providing help to eliminate or minimize problems resulting from the disability. The problems may be medical (such as complications associated with prematurity or weak muscles), developmental (such as delay in turning over, sitting up, walking or talking), or social (such as severe family stress, lack of transportation, language or cultural barriers, etc.).

What services does CVRC provide?

  • Medical services to manage special problems.
  • Social services to provide family support and to assist in obtaining needed resources.
  • Therapy programs for physical, occupational and/or speech therapy.
  • Educational programs for infants and toddlers to assist them in reaching their full potential.
