What services are available to me if I'm a senior?

The mission of the Adult Services Division is to promote senior citizen involvement and protect the quality of life. Following are programs designed to meet your needs:

• What if I am unable to provide for myself? Public Guardian Adult Protection Unit
• Who can help me with money matters? Surrogate Decision Making Unit
• Is there anyone who can protect my rights and advocate for me? Advocacy Unit
• What if I want to stay in my home, but need help? In-Home Support Services (IHSS)
• What if I am unable to prepare meals for myself? Senior Nutrition Program
• I'm retired, but want to stay busy, can I volunteer in the community? Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
• What if I need mental health services? Geriatric Mental Health Services
• Is there anyone who call and make sure I'm OK? Telephone Reassurance Services
• If I'm a veteran, is there someone who can help me with my benefits? Veterans Service
• Is there someone who can help me stay healthy? Preventive Health Care for the Aging (PHCA)
• Who can help me stay in my home? Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP)
• What if I'm not a senior, but still have special needs? Linkages Program
• What if I have Alzheimer's and need help with care? Alzheimer's Day Care Resources Centers (ADCRCs)
• What if I can't afford women's health care? Every Woman Counts
• How can I obtain more information on senior services? Kings/Tulare Area Agency on Aging
