Tulare County HHSA is the advocate for individuals of all ages. We work to
help Tulare County residents, from protection for an abused child or senior citizen, to allowing those frail in health to remain at home.
HHSA provides a range of services to families and children at risk. Our emergency response unit is available 24 hours a day in cases of abuse and neglect, finding a safe haven for children through relatives or foster care program. We recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy family unit in our family reunification and family maintenance programs. We work to provide a stable environment for
the children with permanency planning services such as guardianship, long-term foster care or adoption. As the child grows into a young adult, we help provide tools for their future through our independent living program.
We also support several programs focusing on the needs of mothers and children. Our Maternal Child Health unit provides comprehensive health services for women and children, beginning in early pregnancy. This care includes working with medically "at risk" children and providing immunizations to protect your child.
Our senior services program is designed promote senior citizen involvement and protect their quality of life. We provide protective services, guardianship,
veteran's services, in-home support, nutrition and aging programs.
Kings-Tulare Area Agency on Aging is an additional resource for empowering
seniors.
